Kosovo flag reaches the foot of Matterhorn, Switzerland

The KosovaThanksYou team has embarked on a project to strengthen the relationship and further thank the countries that have shown support to Kosova. “Flag Around the World” is a project that will take years to complete with the goal of bringing the Kosovar flag to the countries that have recognized us. We hope to achieve this goal.

Flag Around the World continues through Europe, starting with Zermatt in Switzerland

We have chosen Switzerland as our first destination in Europe since it is an old nation, built on hard work and cooperation, and home to diverse cultures and traditions. Switzerland as a neutral state in the heart of Europe has been an old friend of Kosovo and its people. Switzerland also serves as a model for a peaceful and prosperous nation. The Matterhorn overlooks town of Zermatt in Valais, and is considered the iconic emblem of the Swiss alps, the grandest of mountains in Europe. The photo was taken before the arrival at the Hörnli hut at the altitude of 3,000 m. The Matterhorn, although not the highest mountain in Switzerland or the Alps, is one of the most iconic and difficult to climb. The summit of this mountain sits at 4,478 m altitude. The south side of the Matterhorn lies in Italy.

We thank Matterhorn for welcoming us and hope that our next stops in Europe will be successful.

We thank you all for the support. We also thank the host countries and hope to visit them all one day.

Kosovo flag reaches Mount Fuji, Japan – Flag Around the World

The KosovaThanksYou team has embarked on a project to strengthen the relationship and further thank the countries that have shown support to Kosova. “Flag Around the World” is a project that will take years to complete with the goal of bringing the Kosovar flag to the countries that have recognized us. We hope to achieve this goal.

Flag Around the World starts at Mount Fuji

We have chosen Mount Fuji, an important cultural symbol, a sacred mountain and the highest point in Japan as our first stop. The sunrise that can only be experienced on Fuji and the long climb to the summit, symbolize the struggle for independence and hope that the journey and the future of our Republic will be a bright and prosperous one. During the coming years this same flag will continue its way around our planet.

Everytime we reach a country, a small version of host country flag will be attached to the Kosovar one. The flag has been specially made for this opportunity. A 150×100 cm flag of standard size made of high quality fabric for best possible preservation has been hand made for “Flag Around the World”.

We thank Fujisan for welcoming us and hope that our next stop in Seoul, South Korea will be successful.

We thank you all for the support. We also thank the host countries and hope to visit them all one day.
